The Rapture Report - Lieberman: Jerusalem is our eternal capital, it will never be divided

Lieberman: Jerusalem is our eternal capital, it will never be divided

In the past couple of days Israel has been in the midst of celebrating Independence Day as well as a Memorial Day for all of their fallen soldiers since the state's founding on May 15th, 1948. The Independence Day celebrations mark the 62nd Anniversary of the Jewish state being re-born on the world stage in it's ancient biblical homeland. The Memorial Day service recognized the over 20,000+ soldiers who have died in various wars and as victims of terrorism against the Jewish state.

The Haaretz news website is reporting that Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has declared today that Jerusalem was the eternal capital of the Jewish state and that it would remain undivided. The Haaretz news article reports:

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the State of Israel and that it will never be divided - "neither directly nor indirectly." Addressing a group of foreign diplomats at the President's Residence in Jerusalem, the foreign minister quoted a speech made by former prime minister Menachem Begin, explaining that Begin's remarks reflected the connection that Jews around the world feel toward Jerusalem - a connection that still exists today. "Today," he said, "I stand before you in Jerusalem, and confirm Begin's words: the city will remain our capital and will never be divided."

Lieberman also further stated:

Lieberman stressed that the government of which he is a member seeks peace as long as there is a genuine partner. "The State of Israel has proven time and again that it is prepared to pay a high price for peace with its neighbors and has already evacuated territory three times its size," he said. "We must now create a new reality in the region based on security for Israelis, economic prosperity for Palestinians, and stability for both. Only then will it be possible to negotiate a final agreement between the parties."

Lieberman's comments can be seen as a firm rejection of the international community's repeated demands that Jerusalem be divided with the Palestinians retaining east Jerusalem as their capital. The east Jerusalem area is also the are where the sacred Temple Mount is located which is holy ground for both Judaism and Islam, not to mention Christianity. The Temple Mount is the location of the two previous Jewish Temples mentioned in the Bible. According to traditions on both sides, the Temple Mount area is also the place where God took dust from the Earth and created Adam. Judaism also holds that the Temple Mount is also where Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice before God intervened and provide another in Isaac's place. So for these reasons, the old city and Temple Mount are important areas that very important to both sides. Jerusalem as we know is the holy city of God that is where the Lord will rule in the future from the throne of David.

Over the years the Islamists have carried out a very disturbing delegitimization campaign promoted by the Islamists whereby they have denied that Israel had any connection to the Temple Mount at all. This is simply ridiculous and archaeological discoveries are being made all the time that simply confirms the Bible and the truth that the land belongs to the Jews. But this doesn't stop the Islamic propaganda promoted by the Islamists who are trying hard to "steal" the land of Israel from the Jews. Of course, the international community buys the "great lie" hook, line, and sinker due to the rabid anti-semitism that exists in the world.

One important and recent discovery is the official Temple Mount guide that was sold and distributed by the Supreme Moslem Council starting in 1924. The Supreme Moslem Council is a top fo the line moslem group who pretty much controlled the Temple Mount area at the time before the re-birth of the modern state of Israel. In their own words, the Supreme Moslem Council repeats what the Bible already acknowledges and that is the Temple Mount is the former home of Solomon's Temple. After the 1950's the Temple Mount Guide statrted to be published with Solomon's Temple being replaced with the wording of "Herod's Temple" in order to erase any mention of Jewish ownership of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. We currently have museum quality reproductions of the original 1924 Temple Mount guide at Rapture Forums and can see clearly in the Islamists own words the admission that the Temple Mount was of Jewish ownership in the historic past.

As Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman mentioned, Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state and will always be so. That it is not acceptable to divide the city under any circumstances. With the world turning hostile towards the Jews and the status of Jerusalem, we can expect more propaganda being promoted by the moslems as they try to re-write the history of the world so they can "steal" the land that is rightfully belonging to the Jews. Let us continue to support Israel, pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and that the evil plans of the enemy are not fruitful. We know from the Bible that God has promised that once he gathered the Jews back into Israel a second time, he would never allow them to be destroyed or scattered again. We can have faith that no matter how bad it seems in the news, that none of what goes on surprises God. He is the god of Israel, who neither sleeps nor slumbers. Amen!!

God bless.
