'Iran to go nuclear within month'
Rapture Forum Staff: Chris
In an apparent snub to the international community, Iran was quoted by the Jerusalem Post today declaring that within a month that they would go nuclear and join the world's "nuclear club". The Iranians appear to be flaunting the world's demands that they cease their illegal nuclear program and submit to international inspections and supervision. The Jerusalem Post reported:
Iran will join the global nuclear club within one month, according to the deputy research chief of the Islamic republic’s Atomic Energy of Iran (AEOI). Fars on Tuesday quoted Behzad Soltani, who also serves as the secretary-general of the AEOI’s Scientific Cooperation Council, as saying that “no country would ever think about attacking Iran” once the nuclear threshold has been crossed. "We do not intend to use the peaceful nuclear energy merely for generating electricity and energy, rather our next step would be expanding use of this technology,” Soltani reportedly said. Radiation, he said, can ensure that “foodstuff, proteins and vegetables are preserved for a longer time and with a higher quality.”
To make matters even worse the Iranians announced that they were over half way finished with building additional nuclear facilities at Arak. While the Iranians mentioned using the nuclear program to help with civilian applications like preserving foodstuffs, vegetables, etc." the Iranians declared that the two additional nuclear facilities would improve their "economic growth, expansion of technology and political power in the international arena" which to me means they intend to use these facilities to develop an atomic nuclear weapons program in order to elevate themselves in the region and in the world. The Jerusalem Post article also reported:
Soltani added that construction work on a large-scale nuclear powerplant and a smaller research reactor in the Iranian city of Arak is nearing completion and is now at 70 percent. The technology, he said, would enable Iran to improve its political, economic and technological standing. "Iran's mighty nuclear independence [will] intermingle with economic growth, expansion of technology and political power in the international arena," Soltani suggested.
To further emphasize and prove this belief, the Iranians were quoted in the Israel National News are saying that once they reached the nuclear milestone that no country would dare attack them. It is really very clear that Iran is on the prowl to obtain nuclear weapons which will allow them to threaten their neighbors and muscle their way around the Middle East. It is also not far-fetched that the Iranians will try to use their nuclear clout to influence international opinion and agendas through manipulation and perhaps even downright threats. The INN are reported:
Iran announced that it will join the "world nuclear club" within a month and will be capable of deterring possible attacks on the country, the Iranian Fars news agency reported on Tuesday. "No country would even think about attacking Iran after Iran's membership in the club," said Behzad Soltani, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, according to the report. Soltani added that the construction of a 360 megawatt nuclear power plant and a 40 megawatt research reactor in Iran's central city of Arak are 70 percent finished. He also said that the developments will help treat 850,000 cancer patients.
I believe that Iran continues to try to manipulate the international community and hide the true reason for their nuclear program and that is to develop nuclear weapons. Iran talks about helping it's population with the acquiring of nuclear technology, yet goes against it's own population while not following it's international obligations as a member of the NPT. The NPT calls for nuclear programs to be monitored, inspected, and ensure that nuclear proliferation is not occuring. Iran has not answered the outstanding questions about it's nuclear program which leads many countries to believe that they are trying hard to develop an offensive nuclear capability. Iran has shown in the past that you can't believe a word they say, and with the fanatical regime ruling from Tehran the prospects of a nuclear Iran should wake up even the most sober of countries in trying to prevent the nuclearization of Iran.
Israel on the other hand has been closely monitoring the situation with Iran and it is quite possible that despite their not attacking Iran over the past few years, we could be rapidly approaching a day when Israel will have no choice but to make a military strike on Iran. In fact, that is what I think will happen at this point in time, yet the predicting what will happen in the Middle East is not a precise science. The "ebbs and flows" of the Middle East make it a very unpredictable region and therefore we must be constantly aware of the situation on the ground. Right now that situation on the ground is not good, especially with reports that Syria may have given Hezbollah SCUD missiles similar to those used by Saddam Hussein in Gulf War 1. This is a very defining moment for Israel as the window of opportunity is just about shut on them to stop Iran. It is clear that international sanctions will do absolutely nothing to stop Iran and anytime spent pursuing them is wasted time in my opinion. These sanctions should have been applied years ago, but the world has been asleep at the wheel and operating on "auto-Neville Chamberlain" mode for years now. Time is getting very close considering that nearly 70 years has passed since Israel was re-born as foretold by the Bible. Keep looking up, our redemption is drawing nigh!
