The Rapture Report - US Sec. Defense on Iran nuclear facilities: Bunker buster bombs 'ready to go'

US Sec. Defense on Iran nuclear facilities: Bunker buster bombs 'ready to go'

After coming to an "agreement" with the Iranians a week or so ago, there has been a lot of "back and forth" posturing in the media between the U.S. and Iran over the details of the nuclear agreement reached in Switzerland. The Iranians have stated that their "red lines" were respected and whereas the U.S. also claims that the Iranian regime agreed to their demands. This sort of back and forth between the two sides is expected as neither side wants to admit "defeat" in talks that have been going on now for nearly 10 years.

While there seems to be quite a few differences still left between both sides when considering the verbal exchanges in the media, there is no doubt that that the Iranians would not have agreed to the deal if they were not getting what they wanted. I have no doubt that U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama probably gave the mullahs the benefit of the doubt in the deal that was reached. Obama is desperate for any kind of "foreign policy" win as he has failed miserably in that department in his 6 years at the helm. The final deal will come to a head at the end of June when it is to be signed and put into force, if it still holds then.

There have been many news headlines this week that discuss the deal that has been reached, but one that made me raise my eyebrows yet at the same time roll my eyes, was the declaration by an Obama administration official that implied that the U.S. has their "bunker buster" bombs on the "ready to go" if the nuclear deal should fall apart. While many people might say this sounds good, I am one of those who is a little cautious on whether President Obama would actually order such an operation. To me, this seems like it is more of the same when it comes to "all options are on the table" for the past 10 years.

The Jerusalem Post reports:

US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter addressed the possibility of a military option against Iran, saying that bunker busting bombs, meant to penetrate Iran's underground facilities, are "ready to go."

Speaking to CNN in an interview aired Saturday morning, Carter said that the deal between Iran and the P5+1, the basics of which were recently laid out in during negotiations in Switzerland, will hinge not on "trust but rather on "verification."

While I would certainly hope that President Obama would do the right thing by destroying the Iranian nuclear program if the deal collapses, I am being very cautious in thinking that this is merely just talk to try to put some final pressure on the Iranians to sign a better deal for the international community. I have no doubt that the Iranians, after hearing these kinds of words for the past 10 years, have probably rolled their eyes as well. I firmly believe that Israel will actually be the one who will be left to do the "dirty deed" of taking out the Iranian nuclear program.

Although if I am wrong and Obama does indeed follow through with the work of demolishing the Iranian nuclear program after a failed deal, I have no doubt that Bible prophecy will move in a very fast pace afterwards as Iran tries to retaliate against the U.S. by attacking Israel. So, whether the "dirty deed" is done by the U.S. or Israel remains to be seen, but I think the end result will lead us to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39.

I think as Bible prophecy watchers, we should continue to follow very closely the results of this "nuclear deal" and whether it is actually put in place. I would believe that we are getting closer and closer to a nuclear breakout point for Iran and this is why negotiations are coming to a head at this time. I also believe that the Israelis are no doubt on top of the situation and when/if they feel there is no other choice, they will strike suddenly and overwhelmingly to stop Iran given whether there is a deal or not. I'm not so sure about the U.S. with the pro-moslem Obama in the White House, I could see him "turning his head the other way" as he has always said that when the political winds blow, he will stand with the moslems. I think he is doing this again with his "bad" nuclear deal with the mad mullahs of Iran.

As we see these things starting to reach a peak, we need to remember that nothing escapes the knowledge of the Lord and that His perfect plan will be fulfilled as it is foretold in the Bible. As we watch for the details to play out, we know the final result is that we win! With that in mind, keep looking up, our redemption is drawing nigh!

God bless.
